It's official....

...i've gone completely country/mountain...!

On the way home Friday i stopped at a local clothing store and found a jeans jacket very similar to the one pictured....
I've been lusting after one for weeks and it was a stroke of luck that i found it in my size and that i had money in my pocket...

IT WAS MEANT TO BE...!

Now here's the country/mountain part..
I seriously thought about wearing it along with my new dark jeans (in a smaller size...thank you exercise guru's) a turtle neck top in burnt orange and my faux pearls to the funeral of a friends mother...!!

Well...i didn't..
But
I did wear jeans....dress jeans in a nice cranberry color with and appropriate blouse and a sweater vest...
In Florida my fashion sense would have been whispered about for weeks...
Here
They were just glad to see me...

Another reason we moved to the mountains..
Not as much wardrobe competition...

Everyday is a Gift

  1. It sounds like a great way to dress to me. It should never be about the clothes we were anyway. Hope you have a wonderful Monday!

  2. Sounds like a nice outfit to me. I really don't like getting all "duded" up anymore. Have a great week!

  4. Same scenario here! When we moved to the northwoods, I gave all my 'fussy' clothes to good will. My wardrobe consists of jeans and sweatshirts. Dressy is colored jeans and a sweater or vest. Love it.

  5. I use to have one of those and loved it. I use to live inland in Florida and that is pretty much like the mountains or in my case, the Ozarks.
Anymore, getting dressed up means putting on a bra. Comfort is the only way to go.

  7. I wear jeans to church every Sunday. My mother gives me the raised eyebrows on occasion, but I think she is just happy I show up, lol. I figure that I have to wear career attire all week so on the weekend God will forgive me if I get a bit more casual in His presence.
