Yes.....I Remember...

Although some of that day has faded.....here's what i remember most..

...hearing the news of a plane crash on the news driving to work

...gathering around an 8" TV watching the Today show with 30 other people in my department.

...hearing a co-worker say...she had just talked to her son in the second tower and everything seemed to be OK

...hearing her scream when the second tower was hit directly below her sons office..

...the many arms that held her.

I still cry...

Starting Saturday the low temps will be in the 40's....

We've had more heavy fogs in September than we did in August...!

Does this mean my " bean in the jar" count is incorrect....?

Are we in for a massive amount of snow...?

or

is this a year in which the heavy coats will never make it out of the closet...?!

I'm gonna start stocking the pantry and down loading books on the Kindle...

It took years.....

..of hinting...begging...pleading....and finally you're just gonna do it...!!

But

I finally got my storm door for the front entrance of the Park Office..

Now I need one little strip of all-weather stripping and I will be able to view the parking lot all 12 months of the year...!

I've already started the hinting,,,,begging,,,,pleading...

Hexed....!!

I've got a hexagon addiction...!

And I blame it on bloggerville....!

"It's a good way to use up scraps" blogger said....

"It's easy and a quick way to make a colorful quilt" blogger said...

I've got a two foot high wicker basket of scraps....!

This may be the biggest quilt in history.

Seriously...

I can remember sitting on the front porch in the summer, after supper, cutting up shirts for my grandmother and Aunt Bessie...so that they could made these little hexagons and then when they had enough(?) they would make a quilt called "Grandmother's Garden."

Who would have thought 60 years later.....I'd still be cutting/sewing hexagons...!!

Quilts are forever...!
