After the Pity Party

This is how i spent my day....... Found this fabric in .....of all places......Wal Mart!!! I know it's not a name brand or an expensive fabric....but, something about the color and pattern ...just, sort'a jumped out at me ......so in the cart it went............

Found the flea market block pattern over on.....crazymomquilts......very simple and easy...then i quilted my blocks in and "X" design.......pink front and green backing......can you see the quilting stitches??

And i'm using a quilt as you go technique to bring everything together......so easy!!!....my kind'a quilt...!! When it's finished, hopefully today ...it should be 52"x42"....maybe a nice baby quilt or wall hanging.....
Now .... if i knew someone with a baby girl or who decorated their home in "pink".....i'd have the perfect gift!!....i'm thinking of naming it......."X's and O's.......you know ...like when you sign a card.....XO XO XO....hugs an kisses!!!
PS....Thanks to all my blogger sisters that left encouraging messages ..... they brighten my day and the "Pity Party" is gone for another six months or so........Place you trust in the Lord and all will be well...........................

  2. It is so nice and Spring looking. That is why it probably called out to you! I love it and cannot believe how much you got done in such a short time. It does seam it would be easier using that method. Never did that before. Of course I do not quilt much either.

  6. Love the fabrics. Neat pattern too. I used to find some nice fabric at our Wal-mart...the two nearest me. The closest one closed out fabric first...then the next one did. Made me sick. At least my favorite quilting shop is still opened!!! She routinely has some great sales.
