Color.....


A little color is appearing on the Twelve Acre Wood...
Bright yellow hardwood to the west of the cabin....


and the herd is turning winter brown...

    Mmmm, it's coming, you can feel it, and smell it. Soon, Fall will be here in all of its glory. Beautiful, if brief.

    Ahhhh, the color of the mountains, both in the flora and the fauna. I grew up with a fall ritual of the mountains and the colors. Always looked forward to the trip, not realizing that mom & Dad enjoyed it even more.
    We saw mostly leaves, but every year of so got a glimpse of a bear or deer. What a thrill that was to a kid.

    I love the beautiful colors of fall. It's the same here too. Too bad it doesn't last longer. On gloomy days the leaves are the only spot of sunshine we see. Hope your Tuesday is terrific.

    It's still summer here in South Alabama, lol. The weather man said on the news tonight that it would be cooler this weekend.What beautiful place you have. Jean

    We are supposed to be in the 70s by the end of the week. I am so looking forward to it. I need a bit of crispness about now. Great pictures. Love the deer.
