Mac Daddy.....

It's that time...!!

Time to drag out the Mac Daddy of all my crock pots...
(i have four)

The Turkey Roaster....!!

I've written it before.....and i'll write it again....

"I Love This Thing"

Cooks a 12 lb turkey in about 3 and a half hours....
Frees up the oven for all those side dishes...
Comes apart for easy cleaning....

What's not to like or love....??

The local Wally Worlds usually have them on sale around this time...
(not a Black Friday Item)

But.....you might want to invest in one....
just in case you should ever need a crock pot big enough to feed a hoard.....

Life is Good

  3. I'm using 2 roasters this year - mine and my daughter's. We're having turkey and ham this year for the first time. We've never had ham before for Thanksgiving but our #2 grandson requested it and since we'll also be celebrating his birthday I thought I'd indulge him.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

  4. I love your turkey roaster and vow to get one every year but haven't done so yet. My SIL is trying out a turkey fryer for our turkey this year. Happy Thanksgiving!

  5. I wish I had got me one the other day while I was at Wal*mart I did see them on sell. Maybe I can get one before Christmas. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Jean

  6. I love mine also for turkey roasting. I have done Cornish hens in mine, too. You are right, the #1 reason to love this is freeing up your oven for all the yummy side dishes, pan of dressing, and rolls. My #2 reason to love this is that it is soooo easy to baste the turkey in this pan. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, FULL of blessings!

  7. Sounds like a great addition to the cook ware, where one has the storage room. The cooking time sounds great! Probably the best thing about it, this time of the year, is freeing the oven.

Sending love from the north end of the turnpike.

  10. I've never seen one that big! Funny how crock pots are popular again - I still have my '70s version, and use it all winter.
