Why?

I put this box flat at the to of the stairs to remind myself it needed to be thrown out with the trash....

MissKitty has claimed it...she sits in it and watches the rest of us...

Why?

Mom is coming home on the 16th!

Well

the cold Cityboy gifted to me turned into sinusitis and bronchitis together...

At the same time...

Not a fun experience...I would not recommend it to anyone..!

Spent several days in bed or on the couch trying to breathe...

Cause

the asthma kicked in just to liven things up a bit!

But, thanks to some good drugs I'm on the mend and so is Mom.

She is progressing well and should be home soon.

What's Normal?

Well....

life goes on!

I'm not sure what normal is anymore...

Mom is doing "some what" better.

However

We are taking her to a geriatric specialist on Friday and we're not pleased with the doctor at the rehab center....we may have to bring her home early or move to another facility....

Work goes on....getting things cleaned up from the snow and prepared for more snow coming later this week....and it's almost the beginning on tourist season...!!

It happened again...!

Another 5-6 inches of snow....

Maybe David Copperfield would put my driveway in his act...

it disappears very easily...

Mom is still in rehab and improving slowly, she has another doctor's appointment on Thursday....

That should be interesting...

In between....

It's a funny time of life for me...

I find myself running to work....rehab....home....in between snow flurries...!

Changing from heavy coats and snow boots to light jackets and Berkies in small entry ways...

Hats and gloves in every coat pocket....

I just keep reminding myself....."This to shall pass.."

Work will settle down.....Mom will come home...my house won't fall down from dirty laundry or dust.....

And spring is just around the corner....

"The Groundhog said so!!"

More Insanity....

The "boys" and the femalechild have come and gone...

A super great time was had by all!

The picture is of them snow tubing at HawksNest Ski Resort outside of Boone.

They're planing on coming back in the Spring to canoe the New River....

I should start stocking the freezer now...!!

My Mom is in a rehab facility for an undetermined amount of time..

the hospital stay and surgery was rough on her....in fact I spend the night of her surgery with her and it was not the most pleasant experience we've had together...

But

She's getting stronger everyday and hopefully her stay will be short...

Craziness....

Frost and snow on the trees outside my office door...

Things have been a bit on the crazy side the last few days..

The FemaleChild and her three sons are coming for a visit and we've been planning all sorts of activities to keep three teenagers entertained..

Plus

Early Monday morning my female parental unit fell and broke her arm...

She's back in the hospital resting and getting checked out for other injuries...

Please say a little prayer for her and my dad....
Like I said ... "craziness" is going on the them there hills....!!
