....the Mountain Laurel by the office door finally bloomed...!

The buds have been there for months...but...with the crazy weather we've had this year, I had my doubts if it would ever blossom out...

Guess it's a hearty little mountain bush and wintered just fine...

Stacation....

Yep...!

Took a little stacation.....gave myself five whole days off...!

Walked away from all things computer or work related..

I think i checked my personal and work email once....only cause i was watching for a work contract to come in and i'll take care of that today in the office...

I checked facebook once a day to see what my kids were up to...

Now..

the house is clean.....the throw rugs have all been washed...the dust bunnies are now outside...the spider webs are no longer hanging from the ceilings....I sat on the front porch, Mother Nature cooperated and the weather was"Just right"....I read two and a half books...I finished a small quilt....I think i even took a nap one afternoon...

I'm not sure....can't remember.....i was asleep....

Like my chicken?......my SIL painted it for me...

She knows i have a "thing" for chickens...

We're not sure where he/she comes from...

but

every few days this little black cat appears...

She and Misskitty have a love/hate relationship...

this cat is in Misskitty's territory but she's still curious about another feline..

There's some hissing and spitting and alot of watching from the front porch.

Maybe some day Kitty will be friendly..

I've found that it is and was easier than i thought..

Just gotta read those labels..

Haven't lost any weight yet ...but...my blood sugar is down 10 points..

and that's a GOOD thing...!!
