Shadows Still With Me.....

Turned out the shadow in my right eye are a tiny little hemorrhage caused by a tiny little separation of the tissue in my retina.....
And should go away soon...

However....

The left eye is in worst shape.....
found scar tissue from a retinal tear that occurred sometime in the past....

Who Knew..!!!

Never had a sign or symptom with the left eye...

Anyway..

With my eyes being extremely near-sighted and shaped like eggs......
the retinal tissue is stretched too thin and tears are a thing i have to be on the look-out for....

Oh Yeah..!

Age has something to do with it also....

It was a Fun filled day......loved the new Doc....

Life is Good

  1. I'm glad that this new injury turned out to be nothing serious. What a joy getting older is, for sure. I'm extremely nearsighted, too. I better ask the Doc about this, the next time I go.

  2. Ah ha, the new doc? Sorry to hear about the eyes, but hopefully you have seen the worst. Eyes are so touchy and the work must take folks with steady hands/minds when any invasive tactics must be used. But THEY are good at what they do and the advances are amazing.

Anyway you are still able to enjoy the beauties around you there.
    Love and prayers your way!

  3. I'm so thankful that it is something that will heal on it's own. Seeing shadows everywhere could be a little spooky. Take care and keep warm. No snow in our forecast yet, anyway.

  6. Goodness, I sure hope now that you are on top of it, you can prevent future events. We never fully appreciate the wonder of our eyesight till it is threatened.

  8. Finally catching up after a week away from the blogs!
Good news that it will heal on it's own. Your first doctor was right that you shouldn't ignore retinal tears! Hope your floaters aren't too distracting while they are healing.
