Challenge #2....

Here's what the super nice brown box on wheels delivered to my back door on Thursday....

(sidebar.......the delivery man comes to my back door.....cause my front door is 15 feet in the air and he doesn't climb stairs if he can help it......soooooo...i run down the inside stairs and meet him.....
It works for us....!!!!...)

Anyway.....ordered and received my second..."Quilts for Kids" kit..

this one is girl fabric........all pinks and flowers and polk-a-dots....

I'm gonna name it.......Letter Garden.....don't ya just love it...??!

This is what i was doing as the brown box drove by my window.....making a "Quilt for Kids" from fabric i had pulled from my stash......

The colors are some what subdued compared to the's coming together's quite and soft.....perfect for a shy little girl.....

This one is named.....Friendship Garden......

What's with all this "Garden" stuff....???!!

Maybe the brain is ready for Spring......the rest of me is......

  1. I just went to the website of Quilts for Kids. What a wonderful program! I'm not a quilter, so I can't help, but I think that this is a great thing that you are doing.

  2. It is a wonderful thing you are doing to bring joy to someone you don't even know. What a blessing you are!

  3. Thank goodness for brown boxes on wheels. You two have a nice little method for getting the package all worked out. You are doing a wonderful thing here.

  4. The fabrics are lovely and will make beautiful quilts. If the prints came in scrapbook papers I would certainly buy me some.

    Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

  5. I just finished my Downy quilt, and I thought it was the cutest until I saw your fabric. Wow!. Hey, how have I missed you all this time?

  6. It is amazing the connection a kid makes to a blanket. Some keep them all their lives. Always bring back good memories. NICE!
