Sorry about the quality of these pictures....yesterday was a very hazy.....hazy...hazy summer day.....by 7:30pm the mountain had disappeared behind a wall of haze....
We changed the color and now blend in with the surrounding trees and foliage...
Squint your eyes...enlarge the pix and you can see the patio table, chairs and container garden on the new cement slab....needs a few more flowers....
We used Sikkens Stain and the rep told us this is the best color stain for the area we live in....
He also suggested that we use the left over stain (from the lighter color) as a base coat for the double coat of the new stain.....and that's what we did...!!
Now here's the draw back.......stain "must" be brushed on......no spraying...and each coat "must" dry completely before the next is applied!!!
Took two guys...with many brushes and really tall ladders.....over four weeks to complete!!
But....It's DONE!!!
Enjoy
It looks wonderful but was a lot of work for sure. I cannot imagine brushing all that on. Hope your Friday is a fantastic one!

ReplyDeleteLove the darker color...And, yes you do blend in better with the earth colors around you. Our son lived in Pisgah Forest and I loved the darker colors there...Hated the small small roads, but it is pretty.
