Harvest Time........

First......i must apologize for the pictures.......it was an overcast day and my little Canon SureShot does not have the best zoom lens.......
But....anyway the tree harvest is in full swing....... the fur babies and i took a few minutes to watch the action........note the cut trees along side the service roads

Here comes one of many tractor pulled trailers loaded with Christmas Trees!!

there they go.......to the holding barn......where one of the hundreds of little pick-up trunks, will attach to the trailer and pull it to the distribution barn......where the trees are loaded on to refrigerated semi-trucks......and they're on the road again!!

To a Christmas Tree lot near you....or you.....or you.....maybe?

BIG BUSINESS......up here in the high country!!

Enjoy

  1. Well, your camera may not have zoomed as nicely as you wanted it to, but these are still very interesting shots! I hope they bring me a tree this year.

  2. I often wonder where all those trees come from...how exciting to be right there by Christmas in the making all year long.

  5. We used to go to a tree farm and cut our own tree but as we got older a small artificial one will suffice. I love to smell the fresh sent of live Christmas trees though. Great shots I thought. Helen

  8. That is a really pretty view. Harvesting is the fun job, trimming those trees in the summer....not so much. ;D
