Want'a Buy a Basement...?

Yep...
It's a poly-steel walkout basement....
It's been up there about 5 years and has had 2 owners that we know of....
It comes with 7 acres of land..(straight down)
And you could probably get it for a great price....
It's view is even better than ours...

Had the taxes done yesterday...
Yeah...!!
Uncle Sam and the state each owe us a check...

Last day....:(
Back to work tomorrow...
And
I have to admit.....i've missed the girls and boys...
I'm trying to decide if this will be my last season...
Social Security kicks in the last of October...
about the same time the end of the work season rolls around...
Hummm...
I've got 8 months to decide....
Maybe i'll just flip the coin.....!!

CityBoy checked out AOK and is good to go for another year...

My blood sugar was: fasting-127 and A1C-5.3
Dr. was excited and i don't have to go back till May...!!

Now to keep us in good health....the treadmill arrives today...ugh!

After much discussion.....we have decided to put it in the garage...
that way... when we take the dogs out...we can walk as they are running around outside in their fenced yard...
Also, makes it hard to turn the t-mill into a clothes rack.....which is what i hear happens if it's in the bedroom...hahahaha..!

Well....gotta get started on the days errands...

I had to drive thru Mountain City, TN to get there.....!!

One of the benefits of serving our country..

It's only a 5 hour round trip...
But..
The price is worth it...which makes the drive worth it...

Cause all that twisting....turning....up and down.....action was holding up progress...

Quilts for Kids....

...that's the charity i make quilts for....

It's a great little deal..

They send you the pre-cut fabric and one of two very simple patterns...
You stitch it up....quilt it (using your batting) and send it back...
Then they give it to a child that is going thru a long term hospital stay...

Thursday's mail brought my newest fabric pack...
And was i surprised....!!

All my other kits have been...what i would consider "children's fabric"
But
Isn't this cute.......flowers and dots......who knew....
I can see some little sweetheart snuggled-up in this finished quilt...

Where's Winter....?

The twenty-seven acres across the road are showing signs of Spring...

Where's Winter...?

Maybe it's holding off till the end of February ....
You know... the ole...
in like a lion...out like a lamb Spring thing....

The quick trip to Wal*Mart for groceries just about did me in...
Had a hard time staying awake for the end of the game...
first time i ever saw a player "sit down" in the end zone.....!!

Trying my hand at laundry today...Ha!

Even though outside looks like the picture above....
I'm up and dressed.....
wearing jeans with a real waistline...
all the elastic waistbands are in the laundry.....ha!
And a quick trip to the grocery store is on the agenda...

I've lost 4 pounds and i'm gonna do my best to keep it off...

My med-techs are napping....

Thanks to Dr. G...Kevin, a wonderful anaesthesiologist and the staff at Watauga Medical Center i had a wonderful time...?

I came home to the two best med-techs in the world..
Mia and Max
and the picture above is what i see every time i open my eyes....

It's enough to get me out of the bed....!

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and well wishes...
They meant the world to me....knowing that people out there care...

Now it's all up hill and back to bed for me....
