Look what I found....
In an attempt to clean and/or organize my sewing room I was moving a few things around and look what I found.
This quilt top made with golds, red and blue....
I don't remember when I pieced it or what pattern I used or if it was suppose to be a gift or if I was just using of the stash.....
Anyway ..... it's gonna hang on the bedroom quilt rack during the up coming holiday and maybe then I'll get around to quilting it....

First Day of Summer....
and the park is already preparing for Winter...!
All the baby birds have flown away...the driveway garden is starting to bloom...the park visitors have tripled in number...everybody around the Twelve Acre Wood is doing well....Mom is up and about without her walker and CityBoy officially retired...!

One flying.....
One baby flew the coop yesterday morning...
Momma Bird was not happy.....she was chirping and flapping around it as it landed in the parking lot...
It looks like she was trying to herd it toward the grass...
We later saw it sitting on the rails of a pickup truck...
Seems like flying was getting easier....!!
Wonder if it was Oscar?

Three Beaks.....
Well...
Actually there are four beaks...
Yep!
Four little baby birds in that little tiny nest.
Mommy and daddy bird are extremely busy with the chow line.
Our summer intern put up the sign....
We've had several people think it was a fake nest and start to take it down...
Now the question is....do we take it down and save it when the birds fly away or do we leave it and see if they return next year...?
Hummmmm....

Is it a Boy or is it a Girl...?
This is all we can see of our new baby Robin...
So far it's the only beak poking out of the nest.
We've named him Oscar 'cause he reminded us of Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street.....it must be the frowny face on that little beak.

In Between.....
We're in that in between season here in the high country...
It's no longer Spring...but...not yet Summer...
Mother Nature can't decide if she should be cool ....hot....clear...foggy....rainy or all four on the same day...!
The Park is busy with hikers, birders and wild flower lookers...but...it's not the "real" busy time of the year...
Well....Hummmmm....
What ever the season Max and Meg are on bunny patrol...
