Happy Birthday Mia & Max...!

Even though Mia was a rescue we have her "papers"...

Her birthday is July 31, 2004...

When we rescued Max... it was late Sept. 2006 and he was approximately 8 weeks old..

So

If you count back...his birthday should be sometime in late July....

We asked Mia and she was OK with sharing her birthday...

So

July 31st became Max's official birthday...

Today they are 10 and 8 years old..!!

 

Old dogs.....old people....

No wonder there is soooo much gray hair around the house...!!

 

Misskitty's official birthday is Halloween....

after all she is a "devil" cat...

It was 48* on the front porch this AM....!

Some of the fall foliage is starting to bloom...six weeks early..!!

and yesterday

I noticed a few of the trees have leaves that are changing color...

 

Am  I behind the times or is falling coming early..?!

Lost Blogging Time....

Yep....i'm still here....

For the last two days i was working out at the river park....

which is a 40 minute drive for me...

which means i had to leave home earlier....not get up earlier....

which means i lost my blogging time....

But

I'm back on the mountain and the time is mine!!

Aren't you lucky....more of my dribble...

All is well and back to normal.....whew...!!

Long...tough....day

I felt just about how Misskitty looks when we finally made it home yesterday....

Yesterday was...."gall bladder surgery day"

CityBoy has been suffering with a nasty gall bladder for over a year and yesterday we made the 2.5 hour trek to the VA hospital for his surgery...

He went into surgery about 9am.....i got a call around 11am saying he was done ....everything went well and he would be in recovery about 2 hours and then we could go home...

Right....!!

4 hours later we're still waiting.....seems CityBoy could not relieve his bladder...

What....??!!

This man can "go" anytime....anyplace....you can almost set your watch by him...

Anyway...!

I was told that after success in the bladder department he came out of the restroom shouting....

"Pack my bags....I'm heading home...!"

Well....we left the house at 5am and made it home around 6:30pm...

all in the same day minus a useless gall bladder.

The crazy cell phone calls on the way home is a story for another day...

Life is never dull around our house...

We turned it on a few days ago, due to a strange dog in the yard that was driving Max and Mia nuts..

and funny thing....somehow it didn't get turned back off...

This morning as i was sweating while getting dress...

I checked the temp....inside was 11 degrees warmer than outside....!!

That's right....it was 77* inside and 66* outside....hummmmm...

Since CityBoy is in TN today....guess what...

IT'S OFF..!

The windows are open.....the birds are chirping....the breeze is gentle...

Life is good...
