I felt just about how Misskitty looks when we finally made it home yesterday....
Yesterday was...."gall bladder surgery day"
CityBoy has been suffering with a nasty gall bladder for over a year and yesterday we made the 2.5 hour trek to the VA hospital for his surgery...
He went into surgery about 9am.....i got a call around 11am saying he was done ....everything went well and he would be in recovery about 2 hours and then we could go home...
Right....!!
4 hours later we're still waiting.....seems CityBoy could not relieve his bladder...
What....??!!
This man can "go" anytime....anyplace....you can almost set your watch by him...
Anyway...!
I was told that after success in the bladder department he came out of the restroom shouting....
"Pack my bags....I'm heading home...!"
Well....we left the house at 5am and made it home around 6:30pm...
all in the same day minus a useless gall bladder.
The crazy cell phone calls on the way home is a story for another day...
Life is never dull around our house...

Amazing the in and outs (quick) in today's world.
The VA does do somethings right! Hope there is no problems and all remains well.
But the Kitty (Miss) picture is good (smile)
I hope he continues with a smooth recovery!
ReplyDeleteIt was a very long day for the two of you, but having had that surgery myself many years ago, I know your hubby will be feeling much better ! Then I was in the hospital for a week and had 6 weeks recovery time. Now thanks to the new type of surgery done, you are in and out the same day. And recovery is much shorter. Modern medicine has changed. Tell your hubby he can be very thankful for that.
