Back on Rx....

Yep....our Mountain Diva is back on her heart meds...!

We noticed that her breathing has been labored...

but

she has been her active old self..plus it's hot out there..

but

the mommy second-sight kicked in and we decided to take her to see the cute vet...

and

there it was on the x-ray a shadow on her heart and cloudiness in her lungs....

so

back on antibiotics and heart meds...

Hopefully.....she'll be better in a few days...

now

I just have to convince her .... she's sick...!

A Little Bit....

My posts have been few over the last weeks.....'cause....

I've got "computer arm"....

Yes

It's like tennis elbow but effects my entire right arm...and I'm suppose to rest it as much as possible...

Hard to do when your job/life revolves around a computer...

So 

if I don't post everyday, don't worry I'm still here.

Things should be back to normal soon...

Made a short trip (2 hour drive) to Greensboro yesterday...

To pick up my sister-n-law....she's here with us for a week...

He's Back...!!

That's right...!

The MaleChild is back for an undetermined amount of time..

Leases in a college town are and can be a pain in the butt...!

We knew he was coming and he's been moving box-by-box for the last few weeks.

then yesterday we loaded up the three vehicles with the rest of his "stuff" and made it in one trip....

Before the rains came..!!

He's settleing in and deciding which boxes to unpack....he's working on his computers, dirty clothes are scattered about and Netflix is on the his TV...

He's home and the cat is happy...

He's her human..!

Things are about the same....

A New Friend....

..a female box turtle...

In the eight years I've worked for the Parks, this is the first turtle I've seen on the mountain.

And

Since we were discussing Steel Magnolias (the movie)

we named her Clairee....

She'll be notched, her vitals documented, recorded in the "turtle book" and then released in the same area she was found...

she is very colorful and very unhappy to be in a box...

Waddle on my new little friend....!!

Lula won!

I gave her the Happy pill around 12:30 yesterday and then we waited 2 hours...

when we checked her, she looked sound asleep...

Then..

we stalked her (like kitty in the picture)

we double teamed her

we approached her one-on-one

we sweet talked her

we sat and watched her sleep

my brother offered to try

and

each time she would jump up and in a drunken run head for the woods....!!

So

back to the vet today for 2 happy pills...

We'll try again later in the week...

this was just round one...!!

Happy Pill Day...

..we've been saying for years that we need to have Lula spade...

After the puppies this spring it is definitely time...

Now....

Since we still can not get close enough to touch Lula...

it's "happy pill" time...

We'll be giving her the pill (in some burger) when I get home at noon and hopefully she'll be sleepy enough for us to get a collar on her and into the car.   

She'll spend the night with the cute vet,  have her surgery tomorrow and come home in the afternoon.  If all goes well she'll get her shots and maybe chipped at the same time...

Then she'll spend Tuesday night in the puppy kennel....until all the drugs wear-off.

Cross your fingers and say a little prayer....
