In previous post I've written about the old folk lore tale of the "Beans in a Jar."
Quick reminder...
For every fog in August you put a bean in the jar. The beans indicate how many snows to expect in the winter months.
Well....
today is August 5th and I've got 4 beans...

You made me smile. I am glad you are doing this. I love it when the 'tales' from before all the sophisticated equipment of forecasting came about, is used as a comparison.

I live atop the cumberland plateau in Tennessee in Fairfield Glade, and we've had a few foggy mornings already. If there is any truth to this I'll be one happy camper this winter!

Good grief - it's foggy almost every morning here in the Tennessee wilderness. I'm only a few miles from Kentucky.
