When I got home yesterday there was a road crew resurfacing the road and intersection along side our house...

..something to watch, beside birds and bunnies, while front porch sitting...!!

 

I ran in....grabbed the camera....ran to the porch to document this historic event...

Tress are now tall enough to block the view for good picture taking...!

 

Oh Well...

 

the fur babies and I listened and smelled it all afternoon...

 

Plus we made 5 quarts of Salsa..!!

the weather is cooperating...the sky is sunny and bright blue...

an occasional afternoon shower...

if you're sitting very still....you can almost see it getting longer...

seriously....look at that picture...it was just mowed on Friday...!!

 

Cityboy is mowing the dogs yard about twice a week..!!

 

No wonder Mia is so fascinated...

It's about the only thing moving up here... 

and it's not even summer yet...

Unless it was a day off or some holiday or out-a-town company...

I don't think I did....

Memory seems to think it was a quick bowl of cereal, glass of juice and out the door...

Maybe the next time one of the kids is visiting I'll make them scrambled eggs...

just like I make for my fur babies every morning...

Does anyone remember.....

...the Hula Hoop..?

Well....last week I was reading that the new exercise fab is the Hula Hoop...

Who knew...?

Now the brain said to me .....you use'ta be pretty good at hooping when you were younger...why not give it a try..

Silly brain...!

So on the last trip to the Wal*Marts...guess what jumped in my cart...

No....

not an exercise hula hoop..but.. a sparkly pink one that lights up when in use....one from the toy department....one that cost me $8.00....can you say inflation....?

 

I downloaded a "how-to" video...just to refresh my memory...

that video states its all in the rhythm and balance...

I now know my balance has slipped 'cause this thing works best down around my ankles...!!

 

I'll keep trying and keep you posted.....if your interested...

Found this waterfall on Monday afternoon coming down out of the park...

It was still there yesterday, so I snapped a few pictures...

It may be gone today...

Things like this happen when we get too much of that wet stuff...

Little creeks and waterfalls appear ...

but

are usually gone in a few days....so i'll enjoy it while I can..!!

The ground is soooo wet that trees are beginning to fall over...

We now under a flood warning...

Low bridges are under water....

Things....including me....are starting to mold...

Schools are on a two hour delay and without bus service in certain areas...

Hummmmmm....

Sounds like hurricane season in Florida...

But

the Hummers keep eating....

Day Six.....

....I'm sitting here watching the fog and rain out the front door...

and i'm reminded that April showers bring May flowers....

 

The yard is covered with those bright yellow flowers/weeds and one little black and white petunia...!

With the amount of yellow weeds/flowers.....i know the lawn in enjoying the rain....

 

Maybe i'll sprout yellow flowers/weeds from my earlobes...

i can pretend they're earrings...
