Meet Meg....

Meg comes to us via a local humane society...
She was dropped off by someone who found her out in last Sunday's horrible rains...
they could not keep her so they brought her to a "no Kill" shelter...
She was on "hold" for 72 hours - time  for the owners to claim her...
Thursday was the last day of her hold and Friday she became ours...

Humane Society thinks she's a Feist/Beagle mix...about 2 years old...she weights about 10 pounds...is housebroken...she has wonderful manners...at some point the end of her tail has been broken and as a result she has a tuft of fur at the end and Monday she will be spayed, chipped and get the remainder of her shots...
She's going to meet the "Cute Vet..!"

The shelter would spay her for us....but...they send the animals out to Asheville for the surgery, which is a 3 hour drive one way and then keep them over night...
Nope....no can do at this house...!
We'll pay a little more and have the cute Vet do it then being her home for recovery...

Max approved her at the shelter and now they are  working things out...
The shelter said it could take up to two weeks to adjust...

All is well for now....

  4. Meg is adorable - - and she will have all the loving care she deserves.

Ironically, my cousin here in TN just got a dog from a No Kill shelter yesterday. I haven't seen it yet.

  7. She is adorable! Glad you were able to arrange for her care at the vet...bless the person that saved her, and my heart goes out to the family that lost her. It sounds as if they took time with her to give her good manners and train her.
