He's Home..!

Yes....he's home....!!

Heart attack on April 16th...

5 days in the hospital being weaned off the Plavix...

Surgery April 21st - triple bypass -70-90% blockage...

Out of ICU within 24 hours....

Sitting up and walking on the 22nd...

Home on the 24th by 2:00pm

It's been a whirlwind few days...!!

Thanks to the MaleChild for keeping me sane...

To the FemaleChild for driving almost all night to be there before surgery...

To the parental units, brother and SNL for taking care of the fur babies while we were at the hospital 

and 

to all of you who prayed for us...

Now the real work begins....6 weeks of no work or driving...

A Red Letter Day.....

 Let me tell you about April 16th.....

It's the day our daughter was born...

It's the day CityBoy's father past away

Yep....same day 12 hours apart..

and

now it's the day City Boy had his second heart attach..

The following is the post I put on Facebook Saturday afternoon...

"Well...the day started off at 5:20 am with Arnold saying I think you better take me to the ER.....The ER in Boone thought he might be having a "baby" heart attach...and sent him by ambulance to Frye Medical Center in Hickory....the cardiac cath results shows he needs a double, maybe triple, by pass......they are keeping him in the hospital to wean him off of blood thinners so they can do the surgery on Friday.....he may get to come home before the end of April.....it's been a rough day.....pray for all of us.....Thanks"

He's still in the cardiac care unit waiting for his platelets to thicken up...his blood count is getting better everyday....looks like surgery is still on for Friday...

Keep us in your prayers....

Road Trip...!!

Yep .... there's a big road trip in the future...

The MaleChild has been accepted into the International Student Teaching program at Appalachian State and is headed for Ireland in the fall...

The FemaleChild called and yelled two words when she heard the news...

"Road Trip!"

Awwwwww....

She cares about her little brother or just loves to travel....

Hummmmmm....?

I'll have to find out which one it really is....

April 23 & 24

Yes......it's happening again...!

Pray for sunny weather......last year it rained 5" on race day..!

The guys just put on their "race wheels" and down the mountain they went....

This is a semi loaded with hay balls....

What you don't see is CityBoys car (behind the trees) and the two hay balls that fell off the truck and hit CityBoy's car....

CityBoy saw the truck taking a curve in the road very wide...so..he stopped and moved over to give the driver plenty of room.

As the truck came out of the curve the load shifted and two hay balls rolled off hitting the front fenders and grill of the car....

The car is drivable/fixable and he made it home AOK.

The truck driver got sited for not having the load secured properly and drove away...

"Attach of the Hay Balls!"

has a B rated horror movie sound to it...
