Here's whats happening....

Removal of a small tumor on the left side of CityBoy's face....

Tumor has been there for years, it gave him no trouble and his beard hid it....

In the pass few months it had began to grow and was becoming painful...surgery was delayed because of the heart attack...

But 

Now the little sucker is gone and the Doctor says the scar will be almost disappear...

stitches come out tomorrow...

Another little friend stopped by to see me...

It's Time.....

Yep...!

It's back to school time for the high country...

The buses are rolling, Mom's are cheering, teacher's are smiling (they always smile on the first and last day) and I'm not sure what the kids are doing.....

It's another sign that Fall is just around the corner...

Getting Ready

The picture only shows one hummer..

but

in reality the little buggers are swarming the feeders...

We have 2 feeders that hold 1 1/2 cups of hummer juice each and we're filling them a least once a day.

By mid September they will be gone headed for the far South for the winter.

The males will leave first and then the females and young ones...

Another sign that Fall is on the way....

And the Count Goes On....

We're 16 days into August and I've got 9 beans in the jar....!

Things aren't looking good for this Winter...

Mom's Big Adventure

The female parental unit has not left the house for anything except her hair appointments since she came home from rehab in March....

So...

When she called on Monday night and said "Let's go to Hammrick's" there was no questions about taking the day off and driving the one and a half hours to her clothing mecca.

She did well with her walker ..... zipped thru the aisles just like her old self, just at a slower speed....

Now that she's conquered Hammrick's maybe she'll tackle Wal*Mart...

Go Mom...!!!

Celebratioon Day...

Can't have a river park without water sports...!!

Beans in the Jar...

Well...

it's August and according to mountain lore....you should put a bean in a jar for every foggy day in August and the amount of beans predicts how many snows there will be in winter....

Hummm.....

We're 5 days into August and I've got 3 beans...

Things are NOT looking good for this winter season...!!
