In Hiding.....

The Mount Jefferson flock knows where to be this time of the year...
What better place than a protected wildlife area...

Who said Turkeys are dumb?!!

  1. HAHA, every year this time I actually think of this. I thought wild turkeys were a thing of the past until we stayed at a Corps park in Western NC and saw hundreds of them. Thanks for bringing back some neat memories. Stay warm up there. It is nice here in Deltona.

  2. These are smart turkeys. My friend years ago had a pet turkey and when it rained she had to take a broom and push it off the shed roof and inside, since it would hold its beak open while looking up at the rain, and she said it could drown. Maybe she was teasing me.

    1. No she was correct....we had pet turkeys and had to but baby chicks to teach them how to eat out of the feeder.

  3. If I looked like that this time of year, I'd hide too. I hear there is a town in NJ that is being invaded by them. That is called living on the edge.

  4. All the wild turkeys around here have gone into hiding. They sure seem to know something. Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family.
