Yes folks!!
It's the first day of school up here in our little section of the high country.....
Too Early...you say......
Yes ...a bit early ...but....last year we lost 21 days to "snow and ice".....
So this year there are more "make-up" days built into the calendar....
Which if we don't use them ...makes for more holidays.......yeah!!
My only problem with the first day of school......
I forgot how much traffic school creates.....!!
Enjoy
In school already???? I have to go back the 25th and 26th; kids start on the 30th.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe summer is almost over.
Wow, that's early even for Oklahoma. We only lose about 5 days to snow and ice. Some of our school districts have actually pushed back the start of school a week because of the heat. That saves a lot of air conditioning and utility bills! In your neck of the woods, kinda looks like the start of fall, with all that fog.

Good Morning,
ReplyDeletePlease say it isn't so! I am not ready to say Goodbye to these lovely summer days. I have two weeks left until I have to report and stay all day!
Have a thoughtful Thursday, ~Natalie
I hope that the schools down there are air conditioned!
ReplyDeleteHope your Thursday is a great one! School here is starting later than usual so not till the first week in September, but most start the last week of August.
ReplyDeleteThose poor kids, when i was young we had to walk both ways up hill in the snow and we also had to push the bus to school when it got stuck
ReplyDeleteWow, that's early but the weather in your area dictates the school year I guess. When the fogs begin to roll in here, it's the end of summer. I love all the seasons but fall is my favorite! Keep your eyes peeled for the kiddos...
ReplyDeleteThese are the days when you do all your running around from 10 - 2 :)
ReplyDeleteWow that is early. Our kids come back on the 19th. I remember when no one went back until after Labor Day!
ReplyDeleteDown here in Georgia, we start back Monday!! 97% on a school bus...yuck!!!
ReplyDeleteWe're back in session here too. Although I don't have one in school anymore!
ReplyDeleteI feel for you...school begins here just after Labour Day. So another month for the kids.
ReplyDeleteWow it does seem early. They are going to cut us back to 175 school days last I heard.
ReplyDeleteWe drove into town this morning. As we went through one of the smaller towns on the way, their school zone flashing lights were already working. We wondered if school had started but check the parking lot as we drove by and there were only a handful of cars. Must have been the teachers. Maybe they're just trying to get everyone in gear to slowing down in the school zone in the next couple of weeks.
ReplyDeleteI feel so sorry for the kids who lose their summer fun time.
ReplyDeleteNo NOT already!!! I am glad we have another 4 weeks.
ReplyDeleteYou are a book of knowledge, School? wow where did Summer go?
ReplyDeleteWe are enjoying nice weather up here in Wisconsin, 78 today and now 69.
Great shot you have there clouds and mountains.
School is starting here early also. We lost so many "snow" days last year that Spring break was cancelled.
