Several weeks ago i posted a very vague blog about "changes" here at the Twelve Acre Wood...

Change #1 happened this past week...

We refinanced the cabin...!!

Got 3.6% and was able to pay of 5 (count'um) 5 credit cards,  all my remaining doctor bills...plus put some away for a rainy day....

I feel like a ten pound weight has been lifted off my shoulders..

Things are no longer soooo tight that they pinch..

This Thursday the humans and critters at the Twelve Acre Wood are thankful for the "dog days" of summer.......'cause we know that Fall is just around the corner...!!

It was another ho-hum weekend around the ole' Twelve Acre Wood..

Here's the hi-lights..

• CityBoy worked Saturday and Sunday
• MaleChild started purging his room....moving day is August 10th
• Made a run to the cute Vet 'cause Mia's asthma started up again.
• Read the first book of the Hunger Games series.
• Woke-up Sunday with a lost beagle in the backyard...fed it..named it..and was planning where to put the doghouse...and then it disappeared.
• Did 7 loads of laundry.
• Watched Mia wheeze.
• Cooked Sunday dinner.....London Broil....squash casserole....sweet potatoes....sliced veggies..it was yummy
• Put up 7 bags of peaches.....7 seems to be my number...
• Watched the deer eat the peach strings.
• Did not see Windy...but...Bucky made an appearance.
• Watched Drop Dead Diva and Army Wives...

I can't plan my days..

the birds, bunnies and mice are all hiding during the day 'cause of the heat and thunder storms...

and i don't like the critters that are out at night...

Guess i'll just keep watch over the nothingness of the Twelve Acre Wood...

We aint got.....

..no stink'n fleas...!!

But

Max does have flea allergies...

the scratching, chewing and moaning started Tuesday night

and out came the children's Benadryl..

then yesterday a trip to the cute vet..

Yep!!

it's the fleas he doesn't have that is causing him to itch...

it only takes one bite for him to get a reaction..

So 

poor little guy got a shot in the hip and we will give him Benadryl for a few more days...

last year we took him to the cute vet on July 9th for the same thing...

Next year i'll start the flea "Off" meds the end of June...

He has good table manners and always leaves a some apple for the girls...
