then around Father's Day you turned hot...

Ever have one of those days....weeks....months...years...?

 

This week has been a bear so far and it's not even Friday yet...

Up at the park we're trying to close out the month....plus,close out the fiscal year..

and then on Monday we got hit with some travel issues that had to be solved ASAP..!

Well.....it took us until yesterday to solve the problems with the travel...

(Thank Goodness our seasonal ranger speaks Spanish..!)

and today is the fiscal inventory..

So

I'll be a-one and a-two and a-three all morning...

My happy thought is......I should have enough fingers and toes...'cause we've let the supplies run low...

Hurray....!!

A Couple.....

...of finishes..

A baby quilt/table topper/wall hanging....whatever...

A few years ago I was into ordering "kits" from quilt companies...

they collected in a large box and there they sat....this was one..!

It's cute.....I like it....now i'll wait for some one to have a baby or become a Grandmother and use it as a gift...into the gift box it goes...



 

This is another kit from the box...

It was suppose to be a kitchen wall hanging...

However...

After reading the directions four times...I still did not understand how to make those border stars..

So

It became my favorite quilt-as-you-go pattern table runner...

still something I won't use and don't need so it goes in the gift box...

Hummmmmm...

I seem to be moving things from one box to another...!

It's a Myth.....

...there is NO pot of gold at the end of the rainbow...

but

they are pretty to look at..!

 

This little beauty appeared about 5:30 yesterday afternoon...

the end seems to be at the bottom of our driveway...

We looked...no little foot prints or gold...  :(

Time Flys.....

This past Monday, June 17th, was the 7th anniversary of the clan loading up the wagons and moving to the high country...

There was a small caravan of Mia and I in my truck with my sewing machines packed in the floor boards..

CityBoy in his truck pulling a trailer with all his treasures..

My parents in their Explorer hauling all the left over last minute stuff...

and a moving van headed for South Carolina...what you say....South Carolina..?

yep...they were taking a different route..

 

We left Florida at high noon, leaving a temp of 98* and a humidity of 110%...!!

Made it to Pullen, GA before we decided to stop for the night....

Mia thought staying in the motel was really cool....especially the English muffins with cream cheese and jelly she conned out of CityBoy for breakfast...

Then we proceed on up the road to the high country...

Max and Misskitty were waiting to be rescued..

New careers were on the horizon...

there was a whole new set of adventures waiting for us...

 

We've never looked back.....

New Seating Arrangement....

Since we've had soooooo much rain in the last few days and we are once again under a flash flood warning....

 

Misskitty has had to find alternative seating from which to survey her domain...

 

Thank goodness the last time we ate out on the front porch....we didn't put the table away...she has taken to the table top...

 

Then the direction of the wind changed and now even her new perch is getting soaked...

 

I think she's taking it in stride...

She taking a nap..

 

Smart Girl...

I'm off to drop the dogs off at the "doggie spa" for a grooming and then to work..

 

Maybe the little waterfall will be back on the mountain....!!

Flash flood warnings are already in effect for the high county, but yesterday, in my old hometown in Florida they had several small tornadoes...
