Shame....shame....

....on Mother Nature......
Once again she's playing tricks on the NC high country..!!
This morning at 6:30AM...the sun was shinning....the wind was just a gentle breeze and the birds were in full voice....
Now look at it!!
Storms clouds on the horizon......wind bending the trees .....rain drops hitting the sidewalks and the birds have gone into hiding!!
Come on old girl!!!
Get it together......we've got a guided canoe trip this afternoon.....!!
Enjoy

  1. Yuh, I'm looking out of my window at pouring rain and a heavy breeze. Not the best of days. I may have to stay indoors, and that means that I may have to clean. Oh, the horrors!

  2. We've had plenty of those days this week. Lots of unhappy campers too. I watched some tent campers endure 2 days and then pack up and go home. There is lots of places to canoe in this area and lots come here just for it. Hope your Sunday is a good one anyway.

  4. If you could send some of that rain our way it would be much appreciated. Mother Nature has teased us with small chances of rain but nothing so far.

  8. I know you're getting mighty tired of all the rain - - - but those dark menacing clouds over the mountains sure are gorgeous.

I spent a college summer working at Camp Green Cove in Tuxedo, NC. It was much cooler there than in other southern climes - - - AND the water in the lake was only a degree or two above freezing!!!

    :-)
