Santa read my letter and CityBoy picked up on all my hints
and I got this for Christmas...
Now in my quest to own one....
I never realized how heavy or big these little suckers are....!
(it's bigger than the coffee pot..!)
I have limited kitchen counter space....soooo...some rearranging was called for...
One of the things to go was the "coffee carpet"
(if you remember the coffee carpet was an orphan 12"x12" quilt square that became a sort'a spoon rest, drip catcher, spill wiper, etc and sat next to the coffee pot.)
Enter.....da..daa..
...the "Coffee Carpet Runner"...
took some 6.5" squares...added some odd squares that were just hanging around...
and made a 6"x 20" runner...
Has all the same uses and i like the colors...!!
Everyday is a Gift
I know you will enjoy the new mixer and make many yummy things with it. Like the 'drip' mat!
ReplyDeleteI do like your runner. What a clever idea and so pretty too. My mixer stays hidden away and so rarely gets used anymore. I really don't have enough counter space. Hope you have a fantastic Friday!
ReplyDeleteOh, my! How lucky you were for Santa to bring you such a wonderful gift! I don't know what I would do without my KitchenAid!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your new mixer. Love your coffee runner.
ReplyDeleteOkay, what is it? A giant mixer or something more complicated?
ReplyDeleteOf course I remember the Coffee CArpet. I think that is something invented by YOU. I do like the replacement. NICE!
Glad all is well in the high Country.
I wish I had one, but I have heard how heavy they are, I wish I had a butler's pantry too. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI have one of those mixers and LOVE it. It is a true workhorse.
ReplyDeleteThat is adorable! love it! I wish I had your quilting talent, very cool beans!
ReplyDeleteThose mixers are heavy, but so worth the grunting and groaning it takes to move it. I have very limited space so mine lives in the cupboard and gets lifted up each and every time it is used. .......My pre baking exercise. Lol
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new mixer. I got one for Christmas, too. I'm loving it. I had an old one many years ago, and let me tell you. It was even heavier than the new one; part of the reason I let the old one go. So bake up a storm and enjoy.
