I've got a two foot high wicker basket of scraps....!
This may be the biggest quilt in history.
Seriously...
I can remember sitting on the front porch in the summer, after supper, cutting up shirts for my grandmother and Aunt Bessie...so that they could made these little hexagons and then when they had enough(?) they would make a quilt called "Grandmother's Garden."

Who would have thought 60 years later.....I'd still be cutting/sewing hexagons...!!
Quilts are forever...!

  6. What a wonderful way to use scraps and nice to have memories of the past doing the same too. It's going to make a beauty of a quilt for sure. I love the name too. Does so remind me of grandmothers garden.
