And Boy!! ....was i surprised when these 20 fat quarters fell into my lap from an unopened box....I was unpacking one of those boxes that you set aside for later......i was looking for fat quarters to make a Turn Twenty quilt top......quick and easy......
I had never worked with large batik pieces before and found it to be quite a challenge.....i'm not sure if i care for the difference in fabric textures.....but, i do LOVE the colors.......
Anyway......it went together easily and it's a keeper!!......i'm gonn'a take it to the "long-arm Lady" over in the next holler (valley) and have her quilt it for me........
Quality Control Committee...checking it out......!!! They are so great to me........they do this inspection for kibble!!!!
Do you have a QC committee at your house?
I love the colors. It is a much larger quilt that the past two. After piecing together all those quarters, I imagine having someone that can quilt it for you is a blessing. My grandma had some one that would machine stitch a quilt for her sometimes. She'd mail it away and by and by would come back all finished. She did so many that I don't think any one ever counted them. I love your quality control team! I guess they do approve !

Wow! Gorgeous colors!
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised that Miss Kitty is not part of the QC Committee. When I had my cat Seven (yes, that was her name ... Seven) she would be my editor whenever I would journal or be on the computer. She'd sit on top of my hands when I would type at the computer, and I had to type with my hands under her belly. Maybe she thought it was a way to get her tummy massaged?
ReplyDeleteDid QC pass it???? love the bright colors...
ReplyDeleteI think the bright colors. They are great for the gloomy winter! Miss kitty must of been giving orders to her QC inspectors.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors. That would brighten any room and anyone's spirit.

ReplyDeleteGod has certainly blessed you with such a talent!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you ever thought of selling them, they are so beautiful! I bet if you took them by some of the shops, they'd grab them in a minute!
Oh that is beautiful! Do you have county fairs near you where you can enter it for display in the summer?
