...this is what's on my work table at the moment...
It's only a lap size ...but...it seems to be taking me forever to get it finished....!!
So
Not wanted to wait (and work) on completing the quilting
this past week i made....
Ta...Da....
a Coffee Carpet...
My coffee pot, for some reason, always dribbles when we're pouring a cup of coffee...
i got tired of wiping off the counters....so the coffee carpet was born....
it's just an orphan 12"square...made with 4 left over charms and some 2.5" strips from the jelly roll i used to make the quilt i'm working on....backing, batting and binding came from the scrap basket...
when it gets cruddy looking...just throw it in the washer...
I'll be adding some more of these to the drawer....along with the mug rugs and the cat mats...
Everyday is a Gift
Super idea! Good way to use scraps too!
ReplyDeleteI could use one of those coffee carpets here at my house too. Seems I'm always wiping up the dribbles. Hope you have a wonderful Monday!

Great idea!:)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Since I don't quilt I put a large placemat under my new Keurig coffee maker which I love that my daughter bought for me. I can just pull it our from under the cabinet to insert the K-cup. Hope you are having a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteYour lap size quilt is beautiful. Coffee carpet is a great idea. Pretty on the counter pot, too.
