How wonderful you got a pressure canner. I have a nice one sitting somewhere in the depths of my basement that hasn't been used in years. At the time I got it I thought I'd be canning for years. Little did I know I'd give it up for lack of time. Hope you enjoy yours!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! I bet you can't wait to use!
ReplyDeleteI have never used one of those but my mother used to use them and my DIL uses one now. Helen
ReplyDeleteI never used one either. What are you going to do in it?
ReplyDeleteI thought about using one ...... once. They scare me. Don't know why but they do. I'm a freeze everything type of gal. I'm sure you will do fine!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Shakerwood, these things scare me!! I use the old fashioned enamel one! ENJOY!
ReplyDeleteOh that is great news. I've always wanted one, just never got around to getting it yet. Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteYikes, looks like something out of a scientific laboratory
ReplyDeleteOh Linda May, my mother used to have a pressure cooker! You just brought back happy memories for me.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't tell you what she used it for, but I can tell you why I loved it:
We lived in an old house that had a crawl space (read, wood floors that vibrate when you walk), and when she had that thing cooking, I used to love to Jump around in the kitchen just to hear that steam-releasing-thing-on-top bounce around. Oh, and to hear my Mom YELL at me to STOP JUMPING! It scared her so bad.
I had NO clue!
I just liked the noise and the yelling.
=-)
Looks like you could make some nasty moonshine in that contraption!
ReplyDeleteYou have an award over at my place if you're interested!
ReplyDeleteMy Mama used one but I was always afraid of it.
