Almost Finished.......

Technically i finished my Christmas Quilt yesterday afternoon.....
but....when taking a second look......i found allllll the little errors that i made in my haste to get it done......

Now being the OCD person that i am....
I could NOT let alll these errors go and just hang and enjoy my new creation....

Sooooo....last night found me using that little tool called a seam ripper......
Ripping away...at the binding, the label and the place where i completely missed stitching...

The biggest mistakes i'll have to live with......ugh!!

Maybe tomorrow...i'll hang it and take some pictures....

  1. Good Morning, I think your quilt to incredible and I couldn't spot any little thing wrong with it. You are so talented but I always hate the mistakes I make when quilting...but reminded that there is only one perfect One-Jesus.
Thank you for sharing. We are getting snow continually here so I need to start working on a scrappy quilt. Great job!
    Hugs, Noreen

  2. Bless your heart! It looks lovely to me. Walmart had a Christmas quilt on sell in their ad this week for $19. I rush up there yesterday morning...since I worked all weekend....& of course they were sold out. I called another Walmart in the next city over....sold out too.

I wish I could make stuff like you. I'm in total amazement of you! Can't wait to see your pictures of the quilt.

  3. Looking good. Bet no one would have noticed those mistakes but you. Helen

  4. the imperfections are what make them the best...only the creator knows & sees them..Your work is beautiful.I know what ya mean..tho...When I'm chorcheting, I've been known to rip the whole thing apart and start again... lol

  5. I am sure it will be absolutely lovely - imperfections and all. I can't wait to see more of it!

  6. It will be beautiful no matter what! Hubby's quilting grandma, rest her soul, once told me quilts were just a bunch of imperfections and mistakes but when they were all put together they are a beautiful masterpiece.

My sewing consist of 25% sewing and 75% ripping!

  7. I remember the days of seam rippers...have not done any sewing in awhile so haven't used one in a while...it was never a nice experience. I'll be looking forward to your pictures.
