Here comes "good neighbor Jimmy," with son Colin.......and their tractor with a ......"drum roll please".....a snow blade!!!
Here they are tackling the foot and a-half of snow outside our garage...
There's a sidewalk under there somewhere...
Jimmy's using Colin as "weight" on the snow blade.....
Please note......the Dodges were taken care of first....leaving my poor little Ford for last!!
Even with the cars out of the garage and into the snow
CityBoy is the only one going anywhere......
Took his car......gold Durango.....out last night for an emergency visit to the ER Vet in Boone....
(Parental units had a sick kitty...... he's doing well and should be home today)
However.......we could not get the Durango back up the driveway.......!!
Soooooo....we left it at the bottom of the hill....
Ever seen an overweight.....59 year old......bundled up.....asthmaic......climb a STEEP driveway in the snow......
Not a pretty picture!!
Enjoy
I'm 59 and overweight (although I'm really trying to lose weight!). No asthma but I am a big klutz! Climbing a steep hill would NOT be a pretty picture if I were the one in it. Not sure I would have made it all the way up. Glad your husband did! Bless your little Ford's engine!
ReplyDeleteHi there, Glad your hubby was the only one going out-you all have gotten so much snow. Your husband must love the parents to venture out. Love the quilt you made too while stranded inside. Stay warm...
ReplyDeleteOh my....but it sure is pretty.
ReplyDeleteThat kitty just doesn't know what a lucky cat he is...I'd never have done that especially if I'd known I was going to have to walk back up that hill...Hope you stay in till the roads are safe to venture out and back again.
ReplyDeleteClimbing a steep hill would not be a pretty picture for me either. You really did get a dumping of snow. Glad to see you have a very helpful neighbour. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
ReplyDeleteThe snow is beautiful! We still have not made it up your way yet, maybe after Christmas and maybe we will get to see some snow!
Take Care!
That was a lot of snow. I would hate to even think I had to climb a steep snowy hill. Sounded dangerous for City Boy to do. Helen
ReplyDeleteyep i know how difficult it is to breathe in the cold with copd
ReplyDeleteYou have got a lot of snow. What a sweet neighbor. I'm glad the kitty is doing better...sorry about the walk. I'm wore out just thinking about it
ReplyDeletewell now...as for me...and that "walking" up a steep hill...in all that snow...slipping and sliding...asmatic or not...I do believe I would have called my "good neighbor" with the snow plow and ask for a ride...uphill...all the way...both ways LOLOLOL...so happy you made it ok...and that kitty is doing well...we love our pets don't we?? Merry Christmas...hugs from Ora in KY
ReplyDeleteI don't do steep hills either..we just got out of our driveway yesterday. woohoo for getting out
