Boy...was i wrong..!
I thought that the tree fields in our area would see little action this year...
Yesterday....a swarm....of workers descended into the field across the road...
There were trucks...tractors....trailers.....and guys everywhere...
One of my favorite things..."Free Entertainment..!"
Is your name on one of these trees..?
Look....Look...!
The big trucks are arriving....
Your tree maybe on the way...!!
Everyday is a Gift
Hope mine is on that load!
ReplyDeleteWe can't afford to waste money on trees every year, we use a fake one. I have a cedar tree that came up in front of the house that I decorate with ornaments that I get at thrift stores. It is neat to see them with real ice sickles in the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteI don't have room for a tree so mine is a little fake one. I love the smell of fresh cut pine trees though. Nothing better than free entertainment.
ReplyDeleteWow, talk about clear cut!! We also have tree farms in Northern Wisconsin, so I'm thinking that's where ours will come from.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures and narrative of the unfolding story. I can smell the cedar. Christmas is around the corner prefaced by the Boomer's report of missing trees. (smile)
ReplyDeleteIt appears that the crew made quick work with that field! We use an artificial tree, so ours isn't in that shipment.
ReplyDeleteWith Thanksgiving so close now, there will be lots of people wanting a tree to set up and decorate. I just can't believe how the time is flying by. I haven't had a real tree in ages, but remember how wonderful they smell. Hope you have a wonderful Thursday!
