Another Quilt Day!

Weather is worst today than yesterday........YUCK!....but, dinner is in the crockpot, the bathrooms are clean.....and i can spend the rest of the day....Quilting!!!

I had a stash of 12x12inch blocks ...left over from years of BOM clubs at my home shop in Florida....my goal this year is to use them up.........

This is my latest project......they are Thimbleberry traditional fabrics and i'm using the Divide & Conquer.... quilt as you go method by Nancy Smith & Lynda Milligan....love this technique....takes me a little longer to finish....but, i don't have to fight the fabric and machine quilting a full-bed size or queen size.......haven't tackled that king size yet!!!

I'm naming this quilt "Mom's Traditions"...my mom is a down home traditional person and this is just right for her new Greatroom......

Stay safe and warm out there.........................................

  1. What a beautiful Quilt! What do you do with all the quilts that you make? I remember my Mom & Grandmother quilting like carzy when I was a kid. My grandmother had the kind of quilting frame that you rolled up to the ceiling when you weren't quilting. When they were quilting us kids would get under it & play....& of course get into trouble. LOL

  2. Your quilt is beautiful and I know it will be appreciated for sure. I'm at home after having decided I could not handle driving on our hazardous roads today. I've not accomplished anything yet but will soon get busy. Enjoy your quilting. 'On Ya'-ma

  4. Very prety quilt. I've never tried quilting that way, but I ought to - I too hate wrestling with big quilts on my little machine. Although I think that maybe someday I'll complain enough and hubby will agree to a long arm! hehe.
